The time has come to search for a new co-blogger! Celine and I need help to hold up this Midnightian book fort, so we’ve decided to open up applications in search for a new Midnightian aka co-blogger! Come and join us in our shenanigans and fun.

What’s in it for you

  • You’ll have a platform in which you can post book reviews, discussion posts etc… anything, as long as it is book-related
  • Access to YA Midnight Reads’ blog statistics for ARCs and other awesome stuff
  • Access to our super secret Goodreads group where we perform rituals on books
  • Access to our group email account where we receive media requests from authors and publishers and magical space unicorns
  • Access to our group gchat where we are up to all kinds of shenanigans
  • Access to our Google Calendar where we attempt to be organised and plan our world domination
  • Access to Melanie’s ARCs (if you happen to live in Australia – though it is not a requirement to become a blogger here)

  • You MUST be passionate about the Young Adult genre & read from it. This blog is called YA Midnight Reads for a reason
  • You MUST be able to post at least once a week, whether it is a review or other type of post
  • You MUST be willing to occasionally participate in Top Ten Tuesday, Discussing Through Midnight and Midnight Madness Newsletter features (and other post types)
  • You MUST have an active Goodreads and Twitter account
  • You MUST be easy to contact and reach at all times
  • You MUST be honest when writing your reviews and comply to the review policy at YA Midnight Reads
  • You MUST ask for permission before participating in any blog tour
  • You MUST be willing to comment on other blogs for YA Midnight Reads as well as reply to comments
  • You MUST be willing to fangirl/hyperventilate/go nuts with Melanie and Celine about books

EDIT: You can already own/write a blog and still apply! All are welcome 🙂 We would simply require you to not post the same content, for obvious reasons.

So how does one apply to be a Midnightian, you might ask? Simply fill out the Google form below!

And that’s all there is to it! We can’t wait to read all your applications! If you happen to have any questions, leave them down in the comments and we’ll reply ASAP 🙂

Applications end 18th of January.

The following two tabs change content below.

Owner (and crazy nut) at YA Midnight Reads
Melanie is one of the totally fabulous bloggers at YA Midnight Reads. She's a 16 year old student from Melbourne, Australia. She is normally found binge watching TV series, reading , blogging, procrastinating or fangirling about how Percabeth is the best ship ever. She's also a lover of caps lock and uses it excessively.

  2. Oh gosh, I’d love to be a co-blogger with you guys! 😀 But I still have my own blog and I don’t know if you want someone who’ll be blogging on two blogs. Before you ask, yes, I will have time to post at least once a week because there are things in the works for my own blog that’ll open up a lot of time for me. 🙂

Good luck with the search, anyone would be lucky to join YA Midnight Reads! 🙂 Book blogging seems so much fun and I’d love to do it, but my other commitments right now mean that I think it’s best I stick to the more low-key tumblr 😉 Maybe in the future!

Thanks, Dana! And no worries, I totally understand. I used to blog at two blogs and it was already hard as it was so blogging at two blogs right now would be a nightmare because I legit have no time.

Si, cierto Miguel. Pobres palabras para defender algo. Totalmente de acuerdo. Pero si consideras que son pobres palabras ¿por qué las has escrito?Un saludo.

  9. I would totally do this, but then of course I realized I have my own blog, which I am desperately trying to grow! Since Im one of the newest blogs out there I am struggling to grow my blog, I need time for my own blog rituals, in which I circle my blog and chant for more views. I find it hard to come up with my own blog posts, my brain is seemingly incapable of this. So I would probably end up curling into a ball and begging the Gods to shoot ideas into my brain, while I rock back and forth. Clearly this would strongly affect my mental health. I do however desperately hope you are able to find the perfect co-blogger! Good Luck!

  12. Belle says:

Omg me me me! I’m on a hiatus of unknown length with my newest blog after Fangirlng Misses fell apart with the others so busy, and I’m learning some coding right now. • It is possible to hear the particular ocean if you put this in your ear. She set the layer to the woman’s ear and also screamed. There has been a hermit crab inside also it pinched the woman’s ear. She in no way wants to go back! LoL I understand this is very off matter but I’d to notify someone!

      • Thanks “This”–she took a bite–“is some good cheese.”This construction comes from the Chicago manual of style, but there may be other schools of thought. It all gets a bit squishy when you start delving into all the cases of punctuation surrounding dialogue.

  14. Best of luck finding your new team member. As someone who also blogs with a couple of co-bloggers, I know what they say is true – the more the merrier 🙂
