Hey guys! I have a very exciting cover reveal and giveaway to share with you guys today! I was a huge fan of Stolen Songbird and when I saw that I could participate in Hidden Huntress, the sequel’s cover reveal, I immediately took it up. If you haven’t already read Stolen Songbird, I really don’t know what to say, OTHER THAN READ IT. The Malediction trilogy is honestly shaping up to be one of my favorite fantasy series in YA. And now […]

Sally Gardner’s novels have garnered (HAHA DID YOU SEE WHAT I DID THERE?! I’m funny. Deal with it people) a lot of praise and recognition over the years so it’s no surprise that I read this book with high expectations. While this book had a rocky start for me, I found this to be a thoroughly enjoyable for most of the part. AJ Flynn is your average teenager. He lives with his single mother who doesn’t want anything to do with AJ […]

It’s been quite a while since I picked up All the Bright Places, and still, I cannot conjure up the right words to review it. The only thing you really need to know before picking up this book is that the title is very deceiving. It is incredibly evil, you see, because this book is not about all the bright and happy things. Sure, there are uplifting moments but I’d be lying if I said this book was about all that. I’ll also add that All […]

And this, my friends, is why I give authors second chances. I am so glad that I decided to give Becca Fitzpatrick’s work another go despite having abhorred her Hush, Hush series. I wouldn’t go as far to say that Black Ice wasn’t problematic, but despite it’s issues it was a thrilling and relatively fast-paced read. Black Ice is a mystery thriller with (surprisingly) no paranormal aspects at all. I originally believed that this was of the paranormal genre (because silly Mel didn’t bother to carefully read the […]

One day I plan to kidnap Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner so they can come and write books for me to read for the rest of my life. Let me tell you now: this is not a sequel to These Broken Stars. That’s right, This Shattered World is a companion novel set in the same world in which we follow two seemingly dissimilar main leads, Jubilee Chase and Flynn Cormac. Jubilee is the perfect soldier and she knows it: strong, resilient and a total all round badass. […]

Only read the first and last paragraphs of this review if you haven’t read Fire with Fire Burn for Burn and Fire with Fire are some of the best high school revenge stories I’ve ever read. Han and Vivian manage to create drama that doesn’t feel aimless or overly melodramatic and characters with incredible depth and growth. It’s safe to say that yes, I loved this series up until this very last instalment which has pretty much tainted my feelings towards the entire series. Words […]

Reading The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks just goes to show that loving one book by an author doesn’t guarantee you’ll love every book by that said author. (I should know this after reading so many books but no, I am a person who never learns ._.) I read We Were Liars almost a year ago and well, let’s just say it made my top 10 reads of 2014. (If you want to know why I loved it, I suggest you check out the discussion review/fangirling […]
