Top Seven Things I Thought While Reading This Book 1. “This is adorable!” Because seriously, IT WAS. It was written with a similar tone to Ask Again Later, which was just completely adorable and fluffy, and Top Ten Clues was no different. I just love the happy, cutesy feel of Czukas’ books. 2. “These characters are amazing.” Top Ten Clues follows a group of teenagers, working at a store called GoodFoods. All of these teens had just such unique personalities, and I loved it. Put these people […]

I’m afraid No Place to Fall ended up being… not my sort of book. I liked its original premise, but ultimately the book and I just ended up not working together. I think it’s a little bit of it’s-not-you-it’s-me and also a little bit it’s-also-a-bit-you. That’s not to say I’m entirely negative about No Place to Fall. In the end, I mostly felt “meh” about it. One thing I liked: In No Place to Fall, out protagonist Amber has a lot of casual sexual relationships. During the […]

It’s never a good sign when I take a week to finish a book. Because in most cases, that means I’m making no progress with the book because it’s boring my eyeballs out. This was exactly the case here. There’s been a lot of hype surrounding this book, as well as a lot of positive reviews from some of my trusted bloggy friends. But, don’t forget the huge amount of disappointed reviews that also followed. I’m one of those disappointed people. I was expecting big things from Red […]

Before I go into my review, let me just clear up that this is a new adult novel. The characters have finished high school and most of them are twentyish, there’s a bit of sex that was described a little more than what you’d find in a YA novel. Just mentioning this because Goodreads has it shelved most as YA and that’s definitely not correct. I would have liked to know beforehand, y’know? Nonetheless, that didn’t affect my enjoyment. Anyway. I’m quite […]
