I’m feeling so conflicted right now. On one hand, I don’t want school to start, but on the other hand, THE BLOOD OF OLYMPUS IS COMING OUT ON TUESDAY CAN YOU PLEASE MOVE YOUR BUTT, TIME? I NEED IT NOOOOW.
I actually went to the bookstore yesterday to see if they accidentally put it out early (shush, I know, but I was feeling particularly optimistic). And turns out, they didn’t but I asked the book lady anyway and she said “yeah” so she went to look for it but it wasn’t there. And then she went to her computer and checked, and it said that there was like 100 in stock. She got pretty confused so she asked her workmate and the workmate, who clearly knows the PJ books very well, said: “They’re not out until the 7th” And I cried inside. I WAS SO CLOSE, RIGHT?
Anyhoo, feeling pretty good because I’ve written A LOT of reviews over the past week and now I’ve got reviews scheduled in November *proud smile* But then again, Celine has reviews scheduled in March 2015…well then.
Mwahahaha I am still the queen of review scheduling. But Mel does have like 1000 reviews for my 5, so… I call it even.
Anyway. This week was pretty uninspiring for me book-wise. This is mostly because I am struggling through my Dutch required reading book which is moving veeerrryyyyy slooooowlyyyyy. And then Harper but up Lauren Oliver’s Vanishing Girls up on Edelweiss and ALL THE EXCITEMENT until I discovered I couldn’t actually download it *cries*. BUT then I did get The Ghosts of Heaven so all was well again.
Otherwise I’ve mostly been busy with… you guessed it… school. I feel like I’m repeating myself eevry week but it is what it is 😛 However, I only have one more week to go before autumn break (like spring break, but in autumn. Not sure this is an actual thing but just go with it). I am very very very much looking forward to that, because it will mean one week of things none of which have to do with school. *celebrates*
Hey guys c: Celine is literally a review boss, now idea how she can just casually make reviews that are IN THE NEXT YEAR UM. Then there’s me being a bad co-blogger and writing mine like two hours before the posted date. Oooops.
This week has continued my busy streak with work and school. I actually went to my first university open house this week which was cool. There’s just so many options available that it can be overwhelming. Nonetheless, I do have a rough idea of what I want to do so that’s helpful. Except, I just don’t know where. There’s truly many so many choices haha.
Autumn break is not a thing here Celine. Wish it was! We can always use a break or two or twenty five.
I’ve actually been reading a bit more which is nice. Same goes with making discussion posts. It’s great to be slowly getting back into the swing of things. I also just finished Under a Painted Sky and adored it. How early is too early to post a review? Cause that book is out March 17th 2015 BUT OMG GUYS IT’S AMAZING AND I WANT TO SHARE MY LOVE.

Mel’s Book of the Week
Do you have a Halloween story/experience that you want to share?
As you know, Halloween is coming up! And this Halloween, we decided to do a week long event which is happening towards the end of October and we are currently asking for your help! So basically, we are planning to compile some really short stories or experiences of your past Halloweens. They don’t necessarily have to be those spooky ones where you saw something or something happened to you, but it can be something that you do for Halloween. It doesn’t even have to be special, I mean, I think many countries don’t really celebrate Halloween so we don’t really know what Halloween truly is like (well I don’t at least, lol.) If you have something to contribute email us at firstname.lastname@example.org

New on the Shelves
I got a copy of The Broken Sun from Text. I haven’t read the first two novels, but I am thinking of starting them before the year is out! I also bought myself a copy of Falling Into Place because I absolutely love this novel to bits.
Also: MOCKINGJAY PIN! It’s sah beautiful.
~Thank you Text Publishing Australia!~
The Ghosts of Heaven: EXCITEMENT ALL OVER. I’ve heard great things about all things Marcus Sedgwick, so obviously I HAD to have this. I really hope his style will work for me!
Death Marked: I read Death Sworn back in the day and while it didn’t blow my mind, I enjoyed it. I’m curious to see where this story will go! Also, fun fact: Death Sworn was one of my very first ARCs.
The Pretty App: So I actually haven’t read The Boyfriend App, but I don’t think this is a series so much as companions. I’ve been told you can read this without having read The Boyfriend App, so I’m very curious! From what I’ve heard, The Boyfriend App was adorable and fun, so I hope this one will be as well.
