Latest Happenings

This week was certainly a busy one for me. I have announced on twitter quite crazily that I am going to America (!!!) It’s not Rome, but hey. A-FREAKING-MERICA. It’s for school to make us more motivated about science and I will be going to places like Disneyland (totally science related :P) Stanford Uni, Space Camp, NASA etc. I don’t have the full details yet but that’s the general gist! SO INCREDIBLY EXICTED. Will be going next year for 16 days from March till April during the school holidays. I am going to be visiting Alburquerque, Huntsville, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Massachusetts.

I’ve recently went and had an eye test and they found a protruding lump on my iris. So I went to the eye specialist just on Friday and they believe I have a cyst in my eye. Apparently I might have to get it removed if it’s a bad one, but I will not know until I get a proper check with another eye specialist.

I won’t be very active in the two weeks to come as I have 4 essays to write in the span of 11 days so *sobs*

My Life Next Door

So I thought I would chose a book that I am kicking myself for not reading yet. This is basically number one on my list for books I plan to read during my blog hiatus during July-August and am pretty excited about it.

Cry Blue Murder: I’ve heard quite a lot of favourable things for this novel and excited. This one is by an Aussie author

The Caller: This one showed up when I sent in my review of the first novel which I found to be pretty decent. I will need to get my hands on the second instalment, somehow. Also aussie author! 😀

Nasa? Ohhh, I can’t let the hubby see this, you may have just stolen his dream. Gee, your high school must be pretty schmick, we only got to go to Scienceworks. Lol. It’s an incredible opportunity, even if you go back later in life, the school will get access to stuff the general public won’t. Are we going to see your travels on Twitter while you’re gone? I’m so excited for you Mel, I’d rather go there than Italy anyway, who needs all that gelato anyway. Lol.
