So yesterday, the redesign happened! I was actually expecting the new look to be installed in a few days, but Livia (@ Butterfly-O-Meter Designs) was ready to get cracking! I was more than happy to go with because seriously, I just could not wait to see it on the blog.

The entire time while Livia was doing her magic, I was rolling on my bed hyperventilating in excitement. Emily @ The Loony Teen Writer  was on Twitter with me to share my craziness. We both were refreshing the blog ever 2 minutes to see the progress of the blog being changed. Like Emily said: BEST LIVE ENTERTAINMENT EVER! I even screenshotted the blog each time there was some major change so you guys can feel what I felt. (As you can see, I was doing a little blog commenting at the time, but sort of gave up a while later because I was too jittery to type anything worthwhile.)

The old design. It’s been more than a year! Farewell.

In which a new title has been added.

And now a background! City skyscraper 😀

movement no4

And the sidebar and other background colours!

Despite today having a pretty crappy start (I had horrible cramps. Full on dying this morning.) but it was an awesome day blog-wise. Tell me what you guys think of the design! It’s not completely finished yet,  I need to add some additions and alter a few things but this is it! We Midnightians are nuts over it 😀 Livia was the designer of this new look and if I haven’t told you yet, you need a blog design, go to her! She does wonders and her price is much more manageable than most other designers I went around to.

Also: discussion post that normally posts on Fridays was moved to tomorrow because of the blog redesign.

And also: if you are using GoogleChrome, can you see the ‘W’s in my posts? Apparently they are not showing up, but they seem fine for me…

I can totally relate with you rolling on your bed and hyperventilating xD A poor paper bag has to take the brunt for that when it comes to me 😛

  4. I absolutely love the new design; it’s still relative to the name but it’s got softer colours and looks elegant and soothing, it’s beautiful Mel! I hope you girls love it as much as I do, and even the little touches such as the new social icons are wonderful.

Love the design Mel! While I did adore this one, and was a bit saddened that you were changing it. However, it turns out I had nothing to worry about as this design is absolutely gorgeous! The colour scheme makes it feel a bit more timeless and mature, but I like that it is still relevant to the name of the blog. 🙂

  7. Yay! It was so exciting watching the changes with you 🙂 blog designers are so clever. Meanwhile I’m here trying to figure out what the HTML for bold is 😛

    LOVE the new design.

    • Celine says:

The HTML for bold is, as far as I know, < and then b and then >, *type your text here* < and then / and then b and then >. Minus all the “and then”s, but I had to add that because otherwise I would’ve just made my own text bold and you wouldn’t see the code 😛

And thank you! We’re all in love with this design 😀

  8. Nara says:

I’m using Chrome and I can see them all 🙂

I actually am hoping to save up some money for a cool redesign, because dang this is cool. And I have to agree- some designers get outrageously expensive… But anyways! I actually visit here quite often, but I need to make a habit of commenting more. I love your stuff and I look forward to those emails letting me know what you guys are up to. Congrats on the new design ^.^
