What’s Been Happening Lately

Heyas people! Larissa is back from Italy! Everyone go ambush her for a recap post! GO GO GO! (Spoiler: She’s going to be making a post sometime this week so keep your eyes peeeeeled.)

In other news, I am going to be dead this week because I have end of term exams all this week. Whoopee! But I am planning on reading some good books (such as Disruption by Jessica Shirvington) so hopefully that will make up for it.

I have now caught up to everyone on Teen Wolf and sobbed my eyes out all yesterday because Something Really Bad Happened.

Also, Celine, Larissa and I are planning on doing a discussion review sometime soon! It will be on The Forever Song by Julie Kagawa 😀

 Just Finished Reading

18242896Larissa reviewed this one a while back and I made the stupid choice of planning to review this for Finding Bliss. Ended up DNFing it just a bit in because damn, so boring and illogical. Read Larissa’s review here.

Book of the Week:

Something RealAfter reading Blythe’s tweets on this book, I’m pretty sure I want this.

Coming Up this Week:

– Review of Great by Sara Benincasa

– Review of House of Ivy and Sorrows by Natalie Whipple

– Discussing Through Midnight (28)

– Disruption Blog Tour

– Discussion Review of The Forever Song by Julie Kagawa

Reviews on the Blog:

As you can tell I had a crap week with books. ^^ Celine reviewed Side Effects May Vary.

Received Books:

45MMN45 MMNThe Sky is Everywhere: The looks absolutely gorgeous and I have heard so much praise for it as well! Heard it’s a tear jerker. Thanks Em!

The Distance Between Us: Squeee! I finally own this >.< Thanks Joy once again <33

#scandal: I received this for tour. A lot of love for this author, so ready to see what she’s made of.

The Girl from the Well: I’ve seen this one a lot other people’s STS’ so I thought I should give this a go as well.

~Thank you Joy @ Thoughts by J, Sourcebooks Fire, Simon and Schuster and Emily @ The Loony Teen Writer!~

  7. You’re very welcome lovely, thank you once again for your books! Damn, it seems like you’re both super busy and in a reading slump. It always sucks when you just can’t find the right book – but I know one will come your way soon! Great recap Mel, Something Real does look very interesting. xx

  9. Mel, you should read something other than #scandal if this is your first time trying Sarah Ockler. That book was not her best work and it was so much different than her typical books. I’ve rated all her books 4-5 stars, but this one was only a 2. 🙁
Something Real is definitely a book I need to get too, especially since Giselle loved it too. Everyone is talking about how well-written it is and I can’t wait to see for myself.
Enjoy your lovely reads this week and I hope you have more awesome books to read this week.

  10. Rachel says:

I’ve enjoyed Sarah Ockler’s books, and she’s hilarious in person. Hope #scandal goes well for you. The Girl From the Well looks really creepy, but I’ve never heard of it. Can’t wait to see Larissa’s Italy recap! Enjoy your books, ladies! 🙂

TEEN WOLF <33 And ahhh, I know what you mean. *still not ok* And I can't wait for the recap post. ALL THE DETAILS PLEASE. I've always wanted to go to Italy and since it's not happening any time soon, let me live through you! And ooh, The Sky Is Everywhere! I can't wait to see what you think! I started it a few months ago and then put it down… I'm rethinking my decision now. Hopefully you'll like it! Have a great week you guys! 🙂

  13. I CAN’T WAIT FOR YOU TO READ THE DISTANCE BETWEEN US! I’m sorry for caps but holy, it’s so good, you should love it! 😀 The Sky is Everywhere also sounds lovely, so I hope you like that too. I heard of you DNF’ing The Here and Now, but of a shame, but you might be wise, some people haven’t enjoyed that. Here’s hoping you get a good read in there! 😀
