What’s been happening lately…

Hey guys! Yes I know, I’ve been horrible this week at keeping my blog active. This is mainly because I started school on Thursday and had to get up at 6am. My new school is 1.5 hours away and I need to take the bus, train and tram. And yes, IT SUCKS A LOT. I used to live in front of my school so I could get p at 8am and not even be late. Now? If I get up any later than 6:20am I am dead meat. So yeah, I’ve been exhausted and had less time to read. AND THANK GOD I GOT A CO-BLOGGER AND CO-REVIEWER!Β Β They are officially starting this week with reviews and discussion posts. And I seriously love them! *group hug*

Steph @ Chasm of Books and I are hosting a read-along for The Iron Fey Series!Β So we have started! It’s not too late to join in πŸ™‚

Just Finished Reading…

FlippedMy goodness. THIS BOOK. LOVE LOVE LOVE. It’s the cutest book ever and I recommend this one so highly. I was watching the movie yesterday and when I found out there was a book, I quickly got an ecopy and started reading it at 12am in the morning. Absolutely worth it.

I’m so sorry about your school troubles. That’s one long commute. πŸ˜› But I’m delighted you found a co-blogger and reviewer! Yay! That takes the pressure off. I imagine you’d be less tired if you didn’t start books at midnight – but the Flipped cover is so adorable, I can see how it was irresistible!

TEAM ASH. I know, I know–Puck is super adorable, but Ash and Meghan were just meant for each other. <3 <3

I loved, loved, loved Flipped, especially the movie! Callan and Madeline were super cute together!

I also got a copy of Tandem at a book sale here. If you want to do some sort of buddy read for it that would be awesome ^_^ (only if you want to, lol!)

Oh you have a co-blogger and co-reviewer?? I can’t wait to meet them, they will definitely help with the load of the blog, especially with you having to get up so early, that sucks. But at least, you can read on the way and back to school. I’ve never heard of the book Flipped, but a book which has you up all night? I want to know more. Happy reading Mel! πŸ™‚

  7. Ooh I hope you’re liking The Iron King! It’s so good and the worldbuilding is actually so well done. Ugh I’m with you about school though πŸ™ I wake up at 6 every morning because my bus picks me up at 7 and I need at least forty-five minutes to wake up. It sucks so much, and having to do that five days out of seven is so annoying. Ugh I hope it gets better for you though! But yay for having two new co-bloggers to help you out <33

  8. I’m very curious to see what you think of Tandem, Mel, and I’m glad you enjoyed Flipped! It’s such a classic. I’m not a Kagawa fan – somehow her books just don’t work for me – but I know she has a huge fan base. Great post! πŸ™‚

That’s insane how much you have to travel to get to school. Like going to school isn’t bad enough! I guess your co-bloggers are here at a good time then.

What a bummer having a 1.5 hour commute school, Melanie. I sort of feel your pain because I have an hour commute each way to work. Audio books have become a staple! Welcome to your new blog-mates, Larissa and Celine! Can’t wait to see what they have in store. Enjoy your reads! πŸ™‚

  14. SAY WHAT YOU WILL – I’ll read that, definitely! I love Green and Rowell, so if it’s like them, then I’m also in!

I used to live an hour away from work, so I’m usually up so early to get ready, but now, I live about 10mins away via commute, so I can wake up an hour early to prep.

I’ve been wanting to read Julie Kagawa’s series and I will, not sure when though.

    Have a great week, Mel!
