Iron Fey read-along large

Banner credit to Emily of Constellation Chronicles

Not long ago, I made a post about books/series that I really needed to read by the end of 2014. In that post, I included six books/series that I really wanted to read by the end of this year. The Iron King by Julie Kagawa was one of them. My best book bloggy friend, Steph @ Chasm of Books left a comment on the post suggesting for us to do a buddy read and so we got on gchat and planned the dates. But then Steph got this really awesome idea, why not host a read-along?

The purpose of today is to simply open up sign-ups so Steph and I have an idea of how many people will be participating in this read-along as well as set down the dates and other things like that.

Iron Fey

This read-along consists of 4 books. The Iron King, The Iron Daughter, The Iron Queen and The Iron Knight. This is a four-book series by Julie Kagawa. For information about the series, click here.

Dates:

The Iron King – 1st of Feb to 7th of Feb

The Iron Daughter – 8th of Feb to 14th of Feb

The Iron Queen – 15th of Feb to 21st of Feb

The Iron Knight – 22nd of Feb to 28th of Feb

Of course, you can go at your own pace, however these dates are just a general idea so it will be easier to discuss books with fellow participants.

You don’t have to read all the books, you can join or leave the read-along whenever you want but please only sign-up if you are going to actually participate. Even if it’s one of the books.

We will be discussing the books during the read-along so be sure to use #IRONFEYRA when putting updates about the books.

I completely fail when it comes to read alongs, but I hope you have fun. Can’t wait to see what you think of this series. It’s not my favorite JK, but it was enjoyable to me for the most part. 🙂

  6. I did enjoy this series even though I struggled a bit with the second and third books, Meghan gets annoying. I have no time to reread it though so I won’t be able to do the read along, but I will follow along and add my thoughts as you go along.

  12. Yay! This event really sounds fun, Mel! And I have heard nothing but good reviews about Kagawa’s works. I am sorely tempted to join but I still have to weigh a lot of things. I am also participating in another read-a-long which is until March.

I hope the book fairies will guide me tonight.

Good luck to this new endeavour, Mel and Steph.
