What’s been happening lately…

Heeey people! Midnight Madness is back! I couldn’t really do these posts when I was on holidays since I wouldn’t be at home to know which books I received for review and whatnot. But yes! Hello hello. I have so much to tell you guys. πŸ˜€

Firstly, Finding Bliss in Books has a new co-blogger! To find out who it is (clue: she’s totally awesome and equally as weird as I am), click here!

Talking about co-blogging, I am also looking for a co-blogger or two! Follow this page for more information. Applications close on the 21st of January!

And Steph @ Chasm of Books and I are hosting a read-along for The Iron Fey Series! Come along and join us! It runs throughout February.

Also, YA Midnight Reads turned 1 years old last month! Here’s the link to my wrap up and accomplishments!

And how are you all? How was your Christmas?

A Breath of Frost:Β I haven’t read anything by this author but it sounds like a fun read!

Bird:Β I received this one for tour.

  1. Hi Melanie,
I’m good and my Christmas was great, I got lots of books πŸ™‚
You got some great books there. I have read Shadowfell and thought it was really good – a bit slow at the start, but it does get a lot more interesting after that. Book 2 was even better.
I’m looking forward to your upcoming reviews.

  2. Lovely review Stack Mel, I got some of those to review too. How good does Bird look, I am loving the cover! Sad to hear Secret is a let down, I don’t think I will bother with that series.

  3. Wow! You’ve got some seriously great ones there! I reeeally want to read Bird. It looks (and sounds, well, the blurb anyway) amazing! I haven’t heard much about Grasshopper Jungle. I’m definitely interested to see your review on that.

  5. A Breath of Frost seems awesome! I don’t remember where, but I read a pretty cool review for that one this past week. Your other books are gorgeous, too, I hope what’s inside is as good as their covers.

Thanks for stopping by earlier. Happy reading.

I really enjoyed Shadowfell! It’s quite a slow paced book, but I didn’t really mind. I want to give her other books a try now. πŸ™‚

You got some great books in the mail! I’m really curious what you’ll think of The Impossible Knife of Memory – I’ve heard good things about it.

Also, I didn’t know there was a new David Levithan book coming out O.o Must. Have. Soon.

  12. Nice. I love that alternate cover for Secret. I hate the US one. Also, I got the impossible knife of memory a few weeks ago but I will probably give it away…idk it sounds good but a little too dark/sad for my tastes, especially lately.

Awesome haul, Mel! Happy Reading! πŸ˜€

  14. Ahh Laurie’s newest book looks fantastic. I’m reading Wintergirls right now and it’s really great so far so hopefully I can read more of her books soon. Congrats on getting a new coblogger for FBIB and you are honestly my spirit animal, Mel. I really didn’t like Another Little Piece, despite it’s beautiful cover, but I’m realy hopping her newest book pulls through for me. Happy reading, Mel! <33

Aw that’s a shame about Secret, I was looking forward to it. I really liked the others though. This is definitely my favourite Aussie cover edition of the series.
Don’t You Forget About Me sounds pretty good…

I really enjoy Alexyandra Harvey’s writing. Lots of witty humor. Hope A Breath of Frost works out for you. Your covers for the Elemental series are much better than our cheesy US ones. I wasn’t a fan of the last book with Hunter, so my enthusiasm for the series has diminished. I look forward to your thoughts. Enjoy your reads, Melanie! πŸ™‚
