midnight madness newsletter
This meme was created for YA Midnight Reads to showcase upcoming posts and hauls from over the past week.

What’s been happening lately…

Ello! I just came back from the cinemas, where I watched Catching Fire with my friends. My thoughts: It was pretty darn epic. They missed a few things that I wished they had included but still, awesomeness. I also came back from my bloggy hiatus on Wednesday; had a great time off writing an essay on Northanger Abbey. *sarcasm* I liked the book but writing an essay kinda ruins all the enjoyment I had for the book at that time.

I am also going overseas on Thursday. Nothing will really change, I’ll still be blogging (hopefully constantly)Β but there will be an absense of me on Twitter every now and again. And there will be no Midnight Madness posts as I will have no books to showcase. Well maybe… but right now I don’t think I will be buying too many novels. Also, it sucks how I DON’T KNOW WHAT BOOKS TO PACK. I am defintely taking my beloved kindle but hardcopies? Epic saderyness. (That is totes a word)

Midnight Madness posts will come back on the 12th of January.

Who wants to co-blog?!

Here’s a shoutout to my book blogging bestie, Stephanie @ Chasm of Books! She is currently looking for a co-blogger/reviewer to help out on her blog. She is seriously one of the nicest, awesomest people I know and if it weren’t that I am already stacked up on two blogs, I’d be co-blogging with her. Come and read more about it here!

I’m so glad you loved Into the Still Blue! I’m still at the beginning because I read The Fiery Heart πŸ˜› I’m also jealous you got Me Since You! They approved me on Edelweiss to read it, but I was unable to download it πŸ™ I got a pop-up that told me I didn’t have ‘the rights to download this file’.

By the way, what do you think of Evertrue’s cover? I seem to be the only one in the world who hates it…

    Happy reading, hon <3

Have fun overseas and the packing thing sucks, I never know what to bring either! I am still hesitant to watch Catching Fire because I never really liked The Hunger Games (books and movies) but I keep hearing amazing things about it so I’m not sure! I finished Champion last week and it was EPIC, I can’t want to see what you think of the series! I’ve heard a lot of great things about Code Name Verity and Rose Under Fire so I can’t wait to see your opinion on them to see what you think. Have an awesome week! <33

  15. AHH TOO MUCH AWESOMENESS ALL IN ONE POST!

First off, YAY for Catching Fire!! I’m going to see it tomorrow with my friends, and I am SO EXCITED. I should, um, probably re-read Catching Fire first though. I kind of forgot a lot of the things that happened… πŸ˜‰

But YAY FOR INTO THE STILL BLUE!! I am so so so so excited for that book, and it’s awesome to hear that it wasn’t a flop like so many final books in trilogies have been lately. Also, yay for Unraveling! I really enjoyed that one, and think you’ll like it as well. Also, I can’t believe Champion has already come out!!! I am dying for that one, ever since the ending of Prodigy. You’re really going to enjoy that series as well!

Lovely haul, Mel, and welcome back from your hiatus, and I hope you have safe travels!
