What’s been happening lately…

Wassup bibliophiles? I recently had an end of year band concert and I pretty much died on the spot when I finished. NEVER PERFORMING AGAIN. ALL THE STRESS. I stress a lot, if you didn’t know…

Here’s another update on Finding Fright in Books! (It’s basically a Halloween event that has been running throughout October on my co-blog, Finding Bliss in Books.) I really appreciate your commments!

Who wants to co-blog?!

Here’s a shoutout to my book blogging bestie, Stephanie @ Chasm of Books! She is currently looking for a co-blogger/reviewer to help out on her blog. She is seriously one of the nicest, awesomest people I know and if it weren’t that I am already stacked up on two blogs, I’d be co-blogging with her. Come and read more about it here!

Night Film looks gorgeous as! Adding that to my TBR. I am almost done with Allegiant! Death serum is kinda scaring me. I am so jealous about your copy of Just One Year, I haven’t been able to buy any books recently because I wasted it one Allegiant and House of Hades ehehe.

Going to check out more of those Finding Fright posts! πŸ˜€

  3. Tanja says:

Ahh I’m so jealous right now. I need to read Allegiant. I mean I see people aren’t really happy with it but still I’ve been waiting for so long. I’ll have to puppy eyes my postman to bring me my book soon xD I already feel sorry for the guy πŸ˜€ Also I cannot wait to see what you think of Jump. Great haul girl :))

  5. Geek Girl has been getting some great reviews over here. I just recently added that one to my own pile and look forward to seeing what you think of it. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Fallen either, but I’m quite curious about Teardrop anyway. And I love that cover of Jump! Is that the sequel to Twinmaker or is it the same book, different title? Changes between countries confuse me endlessly!

Hope you have a great week, Mel.

I’m sure your performance was amazing, I think you’ll be able to overcome stage fright if you keep going up on stage! And ahh all the books!! I’m excited to see what you think of Teardrop and Geek Girl, I haven’t really heard anything about them but they sound sort of interesting. Thanks for sharing and have another awesome week <33

  8. Jump looks interesting, and I look forward to your review. Isn’t swag fun, I hope you have a lovely week.

  9. Rachel says:

I don’t know anything about Night Film but the fact that you say it might scare the poop out of you makes me want to pick it up! I love scary movies and books! I refuse to read anything about Allegiant. I haven’t read Insurgent yet. I held off because of less than stellar reviews on that and was disappointed because I did enjoy Divergent so. My husband loved Divergent and wants to finish the series so I just bought Insurgent and I’ll get the 3rd book for him, too. Not sure I’ll finish the series, though.

    Enjoy your reads, Melanie! πŸ™‚

Ooh, awesome books this week πŸ˜€ I still really need to read Divergent and I’m really curious about Teardrop because Fallen wasn’t the best. Looking forward to your reviews!

  11. I remember seeing your review for This Song Will Save Your Life, even though I didn’t get the chance to comment, so I’m super happy that you loved it! Also, I’ve been hearing negative reviews all over for Allegiant and I’m reading it right now and the first fifty pages are pretty good so hopefully it doesn’t get any worse lol. I hope you ended up liking Teardrop, even though you hated Fallen.

Ahh I know what you mean about band performances whenever I have to sing I get so nervous lol.

It feels so good to comment on your blog again, Melanie! Hopefully I can be making regular stops again πŸ™‚

  15. Stephanie B says:

Thanks for the shout out, Mel! I saw your review for Allegiant but I’m going to read it after I read the book. Can’t wait to read both though! I’m sad it only got 3.5 stars though. πŸ™ I keep preparing myself for a unforeseeable ending, but the unforeseeable part makes it a little difficult. Haha. I don’t know anything about Night Film, but I can’t wait to see your review because I HAVE seen it everywhere. Okay, not everywhere but it feels like it.

I’m terrified to read Allegiant. I’ve been back and forth on whether I should buy it or wait. I’m wanting to know stuff before I accidentally get spoiled though. So maybe I will pick it up… Still avoiding reviews of it though.
It looks like you have a great week planned!

I’m so glad to see Fire with Fire in your brilliant haul Melanie, if you think you enjoyed Burn for Burn, you haven’t read anything yet, this book totally messes with your feelings, it was a definite favourite of the year for me, so I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it. Also I’ve had Allegiant staring at me for the last few days, but have been so scared to pick it up. I hope you enjoy all your reads Melanie! πŸ™‚
