This meme was created for YA Midnight Reads to showcase upcoming posts and hauls from over the past week.

What’s been happening lately…

By the time you are reading this, I am at the Melbourne Show scaring myself on the rides and wasting money on show bags. So yeah, I’m having an awesome time. Sorry for the rushed post, but I had to do this on Saturday, last minute. 😉

So, many of you follow me on Twitter and may have thought it really weird that I, queen of wimps was asking for horror/thriler recommendations. And y’all know why very very very soon on Finding Bliss in Books- my co-blog.

Just Finished Reading…

The Fall of Five
I liked it but the mass of characters let down many other points in this book. My review went up yesterday.

Book of the Week:

The Little PrinceKate got me this book along with other goodies and I started it and I am LOVING IT! I swear it’s gonna be a favourite and I think everyone needs to give this one a shot.

Coming Up this Week:

– Review of Hunting Lila by Sarah Alderson

– Find Me Tour Stop

– Review of Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake (@ Finding Bliss in Books)

~What happens when I get autoapproved by HarperTeen, Greenwillow, Katherine Tegen and Balzer and Bray!~
Just Like Fate- I really enjoyed Cat’s books so I’m curious about what she can do with a co-author!

Wild Awake- Blythe really enjoyed this so I’m willing to give this a shot despite so many mixed reviews

Sweet Damage- Creepy looking book O.O

Sea of Shadows- I liked Kelly’s YA series and I love the cover and title for this

Uninvited- Really interested about this one…

House of Ivy & Sorrow- I haven’t read anything from this author but I heard her writing is pretty good

Ask Again Later- It’s all about the cuteness!

All That Glows- The cover. *cries* Don’t let me down

Faking Normal- I love the synopsis! It’s the type of genre I’m loving lately apart from YA contemporary fluff

Avalon- Awesome cover. Epic. Kickass. Badass.

Her Dark Curiousity- I am reading the first one really soon

The Lure- I’ve always wanted to try this for some reason

Salvage- Just amazing synopsis

Dear Killer- The title says it all

Elusion- Prettiness

Into The Still Blue- Remember by Courtney Summer’s week? I’m thinking of doing it with this series early next year

Panic- I was disappointed with Requiem but I hope I will like this

No One Else Can Have You- Is the title and cover as bad as the story? I’m curious.

~HUGE thanks to Harie Grant Egmont Australia, Allen and Unwin Australia, HarperTeen, Balzer and Bray, Greenwillow and Katherine Tegen!~

I’m currently reading Into The Still Blue and it is loving up to book 1 and 2 so far! I held back on downloading Sea of Shadows because even though I loved her YA series I’m not too sure about this one yet. Think I’ll wait for more reviews before deciding. 🙂

No One Else Can Have You don’t look appealing but the synopsis is intriguing enough, I’m trying to restrain myself from picking any of them up- I have dates marked down on my calendar for when I should be reading them >.<

  7. Jasprit says:

Oh I’m really liking the cover to your Wild Awake, it looks so dark and mysterious! Also yay for the auto-approvals on Edelweiss, I don’t blame you for going crazy, there’s just too much awesomeness up there right now! Enjoy! 🙂

  8. Alise says:

  13. I’m probably the only one who hasn’t read THE LITTLE PRINCE yet, but I want to! I mean, just LOOK at those illustrations. I could stare at them forever and not get bored one bit. <3 So glad to hear that you're enjoying it!

And THAT HAUL. Now I'm feeling incredibly pissed because I sent it requests for all those books more than two months ago, and HarperTeen hasn't responded to me yet. But overall, I'm just really angry at Edelweiss for being such a pain to work with. That, and the fact that publishers seem to hate me a lot on there. No idea why! But I'm looking forward to what you think of all these — many of them are on my wishlist.

    Have a fabulous week, Melanie!

I thought Edelweiss hated me coz the pubs never respond to my requests but then Harper autoapproved me and I was like: YAY!

I hope they respond soon, hun!

  14. Wow, what a fantastic haul this week Mel! You’ve had a few review copies there that look amazing! I haven’t ventured into Edelweiss yet but I know I would go crazy with requesting again. Enjoy your books!
