This meme was created for YA Midnight Reads to showcase upcoming posts and hauls from over the past week.

Overall:

HELLO! Um… well this week I went a little bit nuts with Courtney Summers’ novels. I mean look at the posts! All of them were to do with her and her awesome ninja books. Other than that, I had a horrible week as I was sneezing and coughing everywhere I went. And headaches. Damn them headaches.

Additionally, I found out that Random House on Edelweiss doesn’t like me because despite the fact they approve my requests, they later decide that they don’t like me and take away the ‘download review copy’ button. It sucks because the titles they approved were awesome. *sniffles* D:

Just Finished Reading…

Blood PromiseThis was such a dud. I’m jut going through the rest of this series without reviews but I’ll start reviewing from The Golden Lily onwards!

~A bit of everything!~
The Last Girl- I haven’t heard of this one before but I love the cover art! The spirals are a great effect.

In The Shadow of Blackbirds- This cover O_O And I peeked inside and the images are seriously creepy! I cannot wait to start this one! Thanks Jaz! <33

These Broken Stars swag- AHHH lookies at the prettiness! I’m expecting my copy of the novel soon but for now I can just sit and admire this beauty. Thanks Amie! <33

Clockwork Princess- I admittedly went OCD when I had this originally as a a hardcover instead of paperback like the other two installments.

Anna Dressed In Blood- I really need to own a copy of this, the font is like red O_O

Twenty Boy Summer- I’m curious, I guess.

Attatchments- I don’t think I’ll be reading this as the book stinks and it’s from the library. Ugh.

~Thanks to Allen and Unwin Australia, Amie Kaufman and Jaz!~

Are you me?? This whole week I’ve been sneezing, snottering, and having headaches. Weird! 😛

I’m also incredibly jealous of These Broken Stars! Happy reading <3

These Broken Stars looks absolutely gorgeous Melanie! I received an e-copy a few weeks ago, buy I’ll definitely have to buy a finished copy, I can’t wait to get started with this book. Twenty Boy Summer was also a great read too, have you ever read anything by Ockler before? She is an amazing author! I hope you enjoy all your reads! 🙂

  4. I haven’t read anything by Courtney Summers yet so will have to now!
It’s sad that you have such a horrible copy of Attachments because it’s one of my favourite books. Rainbow Rowell is a fab author!

    Happy reading, Melanie! <3

Eeeep! I loved In the Shadow of Blackbirds! It is in fact one of my fave stand-alone books of the year. ^^ I wasn’t really a fan of These Broken Stars (love the cover, though!), but I am curious to see what you think.

  6. I don’t think I’ve ever tried requesting a Random House book on Edelweiss before (I think on NetGalley they only approve US users?), but that does sound really frustrating! Maybe you can try getting in touch with someone?

And I hope you enjoy In the Shadow of the Blackbirds! I was really pleasantly surprised by that book. Can’t wait to see what you think. 🙂

  8. Haha, there’s never too much of Courtney Summers! She’s awesome. <3 And ugh about Random House. So sorry they're being so mean! I mean, plenty of pubs hate me on EW so you're not alone (like HC… who's been ignoring my requests for MONTHS. I would like a response please, even if it's a rejection). NetGalley is a much better place, though unfortunately not all the big publishers use it. I wonder why…

I can't wait for your review of BLACKOUT! I've read Robinson Well's previous books and they were fairly enjoyable, but his latest sounds loads more interesting, so I really hope you enjoy it. My sister bought a copy of IN THE SHADOW OF BLACKBIRDS for my birthday, so I'm anxiously waiting for it to arrive. And the swag is looking good, Mel!

Hope you have an awesome week, chickie!

I’m sorry Blood Promise didn’t go well for you, I hope you’ll like the rest.
And woohooo, Anna Dressed in Blood! I have a feeling you might like it.
