midnight madness newsletter
This meme was created for YA Midnight Reads to showcase upcoming posts and hauls from over the past week.

Overall:

If you have been hiding under a rock, here is what’s happening. I AM MOVING TO WORDPRESS! The move is happening sometime this coming week so sorry if there aren’t many posts going up this week. (Though I aim to post everyday possible). Moreover, school is starting for me this week as well, meaning less reading time. *sad face*
Just Finished Reading…
This is an Aussie YA, a bit of paranormal witches, romance and murder mystery. However, I was greatly disappointed with the outcome. My review will be up on Monday.
Book of the Week:
I am absolutely excited for the release of this one. Not only because of the beautiful cover, but this is a Greek Mythology and Fairytale retelling novel! Two of my favourite genre mixed together is just too good to be true.
Coming Up this Week:
– Review of Banish by Nicola Marsh
– Teaser Tuesday (18)
– Review of The Bone of Season by Samantha Shannon
– Review of Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell (@ Finding Bliss in Books)
– Review of The First Third by Will Kostakis
– Discussing Through Midnight (1)

~A little bit of everything!~
Thank you HarperCollins Australia, Hardie Grant Egmont Australia, Simon & Schuster Australia and Allen and Unwin Australia.
Of Triton: I enjoyed Of Poseidon last year when I read it but I’m not awfully sure on what I’ll think about this series now as I have changed as a reader. But I remember loving the politics!
Earthbound: I have read every Aprilynne Pike novel and they are likable but not my favourite, curious to see what Pike has in store for us this time around.
Dangerous Girls: Ever since I saw Blythe’s review I have been extremely eager to read this. Another murder mystery novel and it sounds fabulously fustrating.
The Fall: This is the sequel to The Glimpse which I borrowed this week. Never heard anything about this series as this was an unsolicted ARC.
The Weight of Water: I adored Crossan’s Breathe and heard that this was written in poetry form. Something I never usually come across.
The Glimpse: I borrowed this so I could read The Fall which I got as an ARC.
Stormdanncer: I wouldn’t say that I’m 100% excited about this series as hype has been failing me lately but I do have an ARC of Kinslayer, so why not?
Out of the Easy: I am so so pumped about Ruta’s books. Historical and utterly deep are constant things I’m hearing.
Forsaken and Forbidden 2 in 1: I won this in a Twitter giveaway where I had to guess how many pages was contained in this novel. Looks like I was one of the closest!

Oh my gosh, Melanie you have to read The Demon Trapper series ASAP! It’s one of my all time favourite series’! I really enjoyed Stormdancer, and am so jealous that you have an arc of the sequel! Out of the Easy was amazing, and I am beyond excited about Cruel Beauty! I request it on EW yesterday and am hoping I get accepted!

  2. letoile19 says:

That’s a pity about Banish 🙁 I eagerly anticipating that book due to its intriguing blurb, plus it was written by an Australian author. I look forward to reading your review of it then.

You must read and review the Crossan book- it’s utterly beautiful and touching. Loved it to pieces. AND OMG. Dangerous Girls- YOU ARE SO DAMN LUCKY.

    Happy reading, doll

  4. AHH! That Cruel Beauty cover is to die for. I’ll buy a million copies of just that cover and paste it on my wall.

And as for the books, I’m jealous of your copy of Earthbound, I’m a huge die hard for Pike novels.

  5. Great haul, Out of the Easy is the one I’m most looking forward to reading. Enjoy 🙂

  6. Amy says:

Awesome haul!! I’m interested in Earthbound. I liked the Wings series and I definitely want to read more from her. I hope you like Stormdancer. I tried to read it, but it wasn’t for me. Such a gorgeous book though. OMG my StS post is ridiculous this week since I didn’t do one last week (broken computer) and then I went nuts with all the Harper titles on Edelweiss lol! I got like all of them. Most are still months and months away so it’s okay right? Right.

  7. Stephanie B says:

The Demon Trappers looks so good! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on them!

  8. Ariella Lee says:

I finished the Demon Trappers and it was pretty good 😀 and also, I don’t think I’ve read much Aussie YA (the only one was by Jessica Shirvington?). And I DNFed Stormdancer for its long paragraphs of descriptions. Might decide to pick it up again for Kinslayer.. We’ll see. Great haul, Melanie 😀

  10. I really enjoyed the Demon Trappers series! The first couple of books can be quite frustrating character-wise, but the final two were much better. I hope you enjoy them. 🙂 I’ve heard great things about The Weight of Water and Dangerous Girls too. Have fun with your new books, Melanie! 🙂
