midnight madness newsletter

This meme was inspired by Kimba’s The Sunday Post @ the Caffeinated Book Reviewer

This is a weekly newsletter and will be posted usually on Sundays.

SO. My plans with ignoring my Twitter feed completely failed. I was literally refreshing every 5 mins as I just loved staring and squealing over everyone’s daily hauls. Suprisingly, I wasn’t as jealous as I thought. After all, to think back now, there weren’t many books I was dying for. Most of the publishers in Australia will be publishing them and I’ll just go and be content in stalking them for an ARC instead.
BUT. There were some I kinda went all “I MUST HAVE THIS!” at. Here they are:
Going on, I did attend the Armchair BEA which was extremely fun. I will be taking part next year if I don’t happen to go to the BEA next year. (I’m begging my mum so it may work! ^.^)
Book of the Week:
Okay. Um. Well. Right. THE COVER GUYS. It is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L-! I’ve become somewhat sick for girl in the big poofy dress covers but this one says otherwise. Additionally, the synopsis sounds horrifically promising and AUSSIE AUTHOR GUYS! (well half Aussie anyways as it’s co-written) What I found was weird was that it was only being published by an U.S. publisher which made me a very sad girl, BUT. A fortnight ago, Allen & Unwin said on Twitter that they were publishing it! I was like:
So Allen & Unwin, brace yourself for a crazy girl emailing you in the near future.

I loved If I Stay! I’ve never tried the audio version, but I hope you like it. 🙂 And you know how I felt about All Our Yesterdays. The Broken Stars sounds fantastic too, but, as far as I know, it doesn’t have a UK publisher yet (gah!). I hope you manage to get a copy though.

Also, I spy The Book Thief in your instagram photos. I LOVE that book. I want to re-read it soon actually. 🙂

  2. Amy says:

Ohhh All Our Yesterdays!! I got that one too!! Super excited for it. You got some great books! Hope you enjoy them and I hope you can get the ARCs that you are dying for!

  3. Renu says:

Tandem sounds cool, but I heard that there is a love triangle. Gah! If that’s true I most definitely wont be reading it. Eeeep, the cover for These Broken Star is AMAZINGGG, I really do hope you manage to snag a copy! ^^ I am dying to read it! December seems so far away. :'(

  4. Tabitha says:

Ohhhh!! How to Love and the Leila Sales One!! AHHH. Fantastic haul – I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it. Also – the If I Stay audiobook! I haven’t listened to it, but the book is incredible!

  5. I really want to read How to Love and All Our Yesterdays! Can’t for both of them to come out! Tandem seems cool too 🙂
