Hello guys! I am participating in the Armchair BEA. If you are unaware of what this is, click here to hear more about it!

——

This would have to be my favourite topic in the world: To talk about the Middle Grade and Young Adult genre.
YA Midnight Reads bases it’s reviews in the YA genre but does occasionally review some MG books. In fact, my top two favourite series are MG books. I don’t quite understand why I love them so much but I do assume it could be related to my age. After all, most main characters in MG genre are 13 to 14 which is how old I am. Or, it could be the fact that they taught me something new (i. e. a moral) or simply just made me cry. Here are my favourites:
OMG. This series is filled with action, courage and exhilerating character development. The spin off it even better.
PERCABETH. *breaks down into sobs* And Nico. And Leo. *sobs more*
Some people go OCD about the grammar in here but that’s why I love this so much. Todd is such a relatable and lovable character. And Manchee. *sobs even more*
So those are my all time FAV books and FAV MG books of all time. And, while we are talking about the middle grade genre, here’s a cover reveal that was revealed officially revealed yesterday.
ARGH!!! LOOK AT IT. IT’S PERCABETH ON THIS COVER GUYS, AND LOOK AT PERCY! HE’S LOOKING BACKWARDS LIKE SOMETHING IS CHASING HIM. AND ANNABETH SEEMS TO BE STILL LIMPING. SEE THAT WATER SEEPING ON THE GROUND? IT’S LIKE PERCY IS TRYING TO WASH OUT THE LAVA THAT’S SURROUNDING THEM.
MY INNER FANGIRLINESS CAN NOT TAKE THIS ANYMORE. O__O
ANYWHO, THE U.S. (THE LEFT ONE) LOOKS BETTER IN MY OPINION.

I have only read the first three Percy Jackson books. Well, listened to them actually. I really want to finish the series and move onto the Heroes of Olympus series too, but I haven’t had the time to fit them in.

  2. Renu says:

    Wait. You’re 13?! 😮 I would have never guessed!

I don’t really read MG books, but I love the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series! I have yet to pick up the The Heroes of Olympus Series, though.

  3. Nise' says:

I loved the Chaos Walking series!

  4. The left image doesn’t show up for me, but after finishing the first PJ series I’ve been meaning to pick up more from Rick Riordan and your post’s got me thinking this had better be sooner than later 🙂

  5. The Percy Jackson series is oh so fun! They even teach it at our school! 🙂 Too fun! The movies stink though which I can never decide if I think is too bad or great because then maybe they’ll just read all the books and not watch the movies! Happy reading.

  7. I hear those Percy Jackson books are good, but the only MG I’ve ever tried to read are the HP books and I am only on book 3! I am behind the trends in MG and really only read them if they are beloved by adults, I guess. Great post and I love your blog design!

  8. Sam says:

Rick Riordan and Patrick Ness are two authors whose books I keep meaning to read! My younger sister is a huge Percy Jackson fan, so she been pestering me for months to get started on that series. I guess I will eventually have to give in. 😉

  9. Kezia D says:

I totally agree that PJO and HOO are awesome! Both are also one of my favorite series! And yes, Percabeth, Nico, my baby Leo *sobs* I love all of them… Including Frank and Hazel… Why, Riordan? WHY? I CAN’T WAIT FOR HOUSE OF HADES!! US cover = wins!

  10. Why does percy look like an old man and why am I the only one who sees it.
